High Schooler Auditions

Who is eligible to audition? 

Floyd Central students that are enrolled in the Musical Theatre class for the 19-20 school year are allowed to audition.  Click HERE if you are looking for auditions for elementary and middle school students.
 
Auditions

High schoolers will audition via video.  You are picking from the music selections above; you do not need to submit a traditional 16 bar audition cut.  All girls should sing "Who Will Buy" and one of the Nancy selections.  Boys should choose one or two of the male characters to sing for.  Note that the score for this show provides us with multiple keys for some of the characters' songs so pick the key that fits you the best.  Accompaniment tracks are provided in the link above.  Audition videos should be saved to Google Drive or a YouTube link and emailed to Mr. Steiner.  Audition videos are due Monday, July 22.


Concert Style

Our production will be staged in a “concert style,” meaning the show will be sung and acted but staging will be minimal.  Most cast members will be seated onstage for the entire show and will not have much or any movement. A select group of child cast members will learn choreography for a few of the dance numbers.  This group will be indicated on the cast list.  A few of the leading adult characters, including Fagin, Nancy and Bet, will learn a small amount of staging with the kids.
