Upcoming Auditions

Performer Auditions and Tech Applications for our fall musical, the pilot production of WAITRESS: High School Version, are open to 9-12 grade students enrolled at Floyd Central High School. No previous theatre experience is required.
Auditions will be on Thursday, August 6, at 3pm in the Auditorium. Callbacks will be on Friday, August 14. Tech Crew Applications are due on Friday, August 7, with interviews for Level 1 leadership positions to be scheduled August 10-14. We will have a parent meeting on Tuesday, August 11, at 6:30pm in Studio One for all interested families. Additional Information will be linked to the buttons below in early July. |

INTERNATIONAL THESPIAN FESTIVAL
We plan to have WAITRESS: HIGH SCHOOL VERSION adjudicated for the 2027 International Thespian Festival (ITF) Mainstage Program. This program exists to showcase the best student productions from around the country at ITF, a weeklong conference celebrating high school theatre programs. ITF is a very exciting event, where students can take workshops with professionals, meet Broadway artists, audition for college programs, compete in the Thespy events, see incredible shows, and connect with other theatre kids. For the first time ever, ITF is being held in our own backyard in Louisville, Kentucky!
If chosen for ITF, we will have remount rehearsals and perform the show June 18 - 27, 2027 at Floyd Central High School. ITF is scheduled to be in Louisville from June 28 - July 2, 2027. Students who audition or apply for tech are expected to keep those dates open in their calendars. Please schedule all 2027 family vacations, graduation parties, and other summer activities with this in mind.
